What should we do to reach the Capital District for Jesus Christ?
The elders of PCC have been praying and dreaming about the part that God would have us play in reaching the Capital District. We’ve got some ideas and we’d love to hear yours!

God has a part for us to play. Let’s come together and dream big about the future that He has for our church family and for the Capital District!

“AWESOME!! Something that we’ve done for the last 4 years is an outreach called REVOLUTIONARY LOVE! We had little business cards printed (i’ll email you a sample) that the congregation could use after they di some Rev. Love. It’s a simple/practical way of getting your church to show your community God’s love in a practical way. Encourage your congregation to buy the persons lunch behind them in the drive through, mow their lawn, shovel their snow, buy the persons groceries in front of them at the store, etc. then present them with a Revolutionary Love card that says…I’m doing this to show you God’s love in a practical way. Then it directs them to the church website for more information. We set up a blog for the church to blog onto and tell stories and it allows the recipients to do the same. IT’S AWESOME to hear the stories that come out of it. Great, simple, inexpensive outreach to your community. Becomes addicting and exciting in the same after you start hearing the testimonies.”
Reaching the whole Capital District is a mighty tough thing because it is a pretty diverse people group spread out over a large geographic area. My idea is we narrow our approach to start by choosing one area of the Capital District like Colonie, Albany, or Guilderland. Colonie Alliance Church is literally around the corner from us. I suggest we partner with them Colonie. This will meet the need of focusing our efforts.
If we indeed want to reach people for Christ, my idea is to train people in evangelism. I would like to be trained as an official Evangelism Trainer Teacher through Evangelism Explosion. I would like to train others at Pineview how they can effectively share their faith. I have seen five people come to know Christ as a result of Evangelism Explosion since this past spring. This will meet the need of training people in evangelism and will result in people receiving eternal life.
