Faith can be difficult because it sometimes can plateau.  There is no movement.  In those moments, we might be tempted to “do something different” to kick-start our faith.

Paul says to be careful, because sometimes we can replace a spiritual relationship with Jesus with spiritual disciplines.  When we do that, we exchange relationships with rules.

How can we joyfully stand firm in our faith, even in tough times?  By seeing the incredible value that faith in Jesus gives, and by pursuing Jesus above all else.
