It’s one thing to make a bold claim.  It is another to back it up.

The testimony of Jesus’ death is clear – soldiers saw his dead body.  His enemies saw his dead body.  He was clearly dead.

But Jesus claimed that God would raise Him from the dead.  Why can we believe this?  Because of what happened in the lives of the followers of Jesus.  Their lives completely changed and they were willing to die for what they had seen and heard.

So what does it mean?  It means that Jesus died and rose again.  He was able to back up his bold claim.

Which means only one thing:  God is not against you, He is for you!

We all do different things to prepare for Easter.  Some people hide chocolate eggs in the yard for the kids, or buy a very large bunny.  Others send cards or invite friends and family over for an Easter dinner.  With all these activities, there is a lot of preparation.

What did Jesus do to prepare for Easter, considering that He knew that He was going to die?  He cleared the way for people to connect to God.
