Citizenship

Difficult circumstances are universal, and one often wonders how a God who loves us would allow so many people to experience so many levels of deep pain and suffering.  Why doesn’t he rescue and deliver us from our trials?

The reason is that in God’s hands, our trials can become His tools.  Only God could use our setbacks to bring other people into relationship with Himself and encourage a believer to share their faith.

A Little Sleep, A Little Slumber…

There are heroes in the Bible and there are zeroes in the Bible.  The zeroes are lazy people, because when you multiply a lazy person with any activity, the result is… zero.  Nothing.  Nada.

The issue is that no one considers themselves to be lazy until we consider all the areas of our life.

How can we develop an ethic that puts laziness out of our life?

Some people smoke.  Others drink  and eat processed sugar.  Others gossip.

They all have something in common.  These are things we do in life that we know are dangerous, but we do them anyways.

Why is gossip dangerous?  Why should we take steps to avoid it?  Because of what it will do to our relationships and the reputations of others.

Does integrity matter?

Wisdom says that integrity matters, but your experience might be different.

Over the long haul, integrity will act as a guard and a guide to your life.

If you want to live wisely, you need to have integrity.  Before you decide what to do, you need to decide who you want to be.
