Building Christian Character

Labelling people is easy.  We do it in every area of society because when we can fit people into a framework of a label, we can anticipate how people will act.  Some labels are fair, others are not.  We prefer some labels, we don’t like other labels.  However, while we know people will label us, we don’t often live in a way that can change the label people have for us.

For the Christian living out the gospel of Christ, it is possible to change that label.  What kind of label is the Christian to evoke in the thoughts of others?  What kind of label would God be proud of?  How do we build the character of Jesus?

God, What Is Your Purpose For Me?

Do you have questions for God?  All of us have assumptions when it comes to our beliefs.  When it comes to Christianity, do they make sense?  Do they stand up under scrutiny?

Question # 6 – In this final sermon (or epilogue), Pastor Brian looks at our response to the facts of Christianity; that God exists, loves humanity and offered a plan of salvation through Jesus Christ.  But then what?  Does God have a plan for every person?  If so, how do we follow that plan?

God, I Like Jesus, But I Don’t Like The Church

One of the biggest questions for God is the question of hypocrisy.  Many accuse the church of being full of hypocrites who say one thing and do another.

Does the opinion of “outsiders” even matter?  If so, then why does it matter and what can we do about it?

God, What Happens When We Die?

God, what happens when I die?  Is that all there is?  If there is an afterlife, how can I be sure of where I will end up?  What can I do?
